PROVIDING QUALITY SERVICE SINCE 1984

In 1984, Bob Beard took over then Carter's Amoco and began his career as a professional Auto Mechanic. Those were the days of full-service gas pumps, and Bob developed a rapport with the locals that still shows to this day. When Amoco was bought out, we renamed ourselves to Beard's Auto Center.

In 2017, Steve Beard purchased the business from his father to continue the family business.

Although we no longer have gas, we have focused our attention 100% to providing quality automotive repair and diagnostics to our clients without the high prices that many dealers carry.

We are very proud of our name and no matter how busy, someone is always here and willing to address whatever concerns you may have.

In Memory...

Willard “Dee” started working with Dick Humphreys directly out of high school and mechanical trade school. 2 years after he started his career, the business was acquired by Bob Beard. Will continued to work at Beard’s Auto for another 38years before his sudden death in January of 2022. He was an amazing friend, mentor, and coworker to all of us and is missed dearly. Bob spent nearly 36 years working directly beside Will and considered him family. Will taught Steven how to work on cars often saying, “I’m not going to be here forever so you better pay attention” If only we knew how true those words would be. Starting at 16, Steve always felt a mutual respect and family like approach from Will as he helped him learn the trade and how to become a mechanic. His integrity and knowledge has been passed on and we maintain the standards created by Bob and Will to this day. Will never made an enemy but had an endless supply of friends and people who loved him. His loss is felt by his family at Beard’s. His knowledge and friendly face will never be replaceable, and his memory lives on with all of us. We are fortunate to have had such a wonderful person and mentor within our organization for so long and wish his family the warmest wishes and hope this finds a special place in your heart, as he has had in ours for so many years.
